5K Run/Walk Series FAQ

Animals are not allowed on the course.

Yes, strollers and baby joggers are allowed. You may walk with strollers but not run.

If you earn a fundraising incentive, you will only earn the incentive at the highest level. So, for example, if you have earned the $500 incentive, you will not also receive the $250 incentive. BUT- if you would prefer a lower-level incentive to the one you have earned, just let us know!

An award will be given to anyone that completes all three races!

Sorry, no transfers or refunds will be allowed.
No, the race is open to all ages. Before each race, kids under 12 can race in our Kiddie K. Plus, each race includes family-friendly activities throughout the day!

Yes, the timing chip is located on the backside of your bib number for all in-person 5K participants. On race day, all in-person 5K participants’ race time will be recorded. Times will be available online and in-person 5K participants will be eligible for awards.

Awards will be given out to:

  • Top Male and Female Walkers and Runners
  • Age Group Winners in 10 Year Age Groups

  • $1000: Embroidered Beach Towel
  • $2000: Embroidered Crew Neck



  • $500: Earn a mile marker sign displayed at our races.
  • $1000: Team name printed on the back of race t-shirt
  • $2500: Hydration Station team name banner plus
  • $5000: Adopt a Room*


*Adopt a Room: Be the sponsor of one of the 50 guest rooms at the House for one year. Your donation will support the housekeeping and general upkeep of that room. Prominent signage with your name/team will be displayed outside your adopted guest room.

Our 5K will occur rain or shine, warm or cold. We reserve the right to cancel in extreme circumstances. In that event, there will be no refunds, rather, your entry fee will be used as a donation to Ronald McDonald House of Delaware.

Each participant’s registration includes a commemorative shirt, race bib, a post-race refreshments, and family-friendly fun!

Dress for the weather. The Run/Walks are outdoors, rain or shine. T-shirts will be given to those who pre-register and day of while supplies last.

Packet Pickup will take place on the morning of your race.
