Volunteer Highlight: Amy Cresanti

Amy Cresanti joined our Volunteer team in November 2024.  Like many other volunteers, a love for children led Amy’s decision to pursue a volunteer role at Ronald McDonald House Charities of Greater Delaware. In her roles as a teacher and Social Worker, Amy has dedicated much of her life to helping children. Since becoming a volunteer, Amy has seen first-hand what the House means to children and their families. “The resilience of the kids, knowing they come back here after a very long day at the hospital, and still seeing a smile on their faces, that is what stays with me.”

Amy says volunteer service for her is about helping others without expecting anything in return. And, as a Family Service volunteer, she sees first-hand how she plays a role in helping others during their stay. “I [recently] was able to  bring a requested item to a mom and she shared what a relief that was to her,” Amy said. “Things that might seem small can really make a difference in someone’s day.”
