Badou Tounkara is the Head of Operations Technology within the JPMorgan Chase Community and Consumer Banking division, overseeing technology used by more than 15,000 specialists in the global call centers.
Badou also serves as the Delaware Technology Center Location Leader. He is responsible for enabling organizational change, driving transformation and supporting talent development, while fostering a sense of community within the 3,000+ engineers located in Delaware.
Badou has been with the firm for over 15 years. He has served as the Head of Home & Auto Lending Technology, Head of Home Lending and Head of Operations Technology’s Fraud Operations & Machine Learning. He began his career with JPMC in Paris, worked in London and relocated to Wilmington, Delaware, where he now resides.
Previously, Badou also worked at Barclaycard where he held multiple technology leadership roles such as Head of Customer Acquisition Technology and Credit Risk; Head of Customer Care, Collections, Fraud, Disputes, IVR and Director of Contact Center Technology.
Badou is an active member of the community, as a member of the University of Delaware Computer and Information Sciences Advisory Council.
In February 2020, Badou was awarded the BEYA (Black Engineer of the Year Conference) Modern-Day Technology Leader award. An award that recognizes an individual’s commitment to shaping the future of engineering, science, and technology.
Badou holds a Master Degree in Electronics (University of Orsay, France) and a BA in Computer Science (ESIGETEL, France).
