Individual Giving Officer

The Individual Giving Officer is an important part of the Development Team and is responsible for cultivating, managing and stewarding current individual donors and recruiting new individual donors. This position plays a vital role in overseeing the annual campaign for individuals and launching a formal major gifts initiative for the Ronald McDonald House Charities of Greater Delaware. The Individual Giving Manager also oversees the organization’s planned giving program.

Assistant House Manager

RMHC Greater Delaware is looking to add to our staffing pool of PRN (per requested need) Assistant House Managers. PRN Assistant House Managers (AHMs) do not have regular shifts. They are trained to manage the daily operations of the House including providing superior service to guests; managing a dedicated team of volunteers; providing property management; and maintaining a welcoming and supportive environment for guests. This role is critical to ensuring families have access to a safe, comfortable, secure facility while focusing on receiving medical treatment for their seriously ill or injured child at nearby hospitals.

Hours generally fall between 8:00am-10:00pm Saturday and Sunday (typical shifts are 8:00-4:00 and 4:00-10:00) with opportunities for occasional afternoon/evening hours during the week. The AHM pool provides Operations coverage during holidays, and maintains staffing requirements during House Manager/Operations Team PTO. Individuals in this position can expect to work between 8 and 24 hours per month.

The ideal candidate will have weekend and holiday availability.

Family Room Assistant (PRN- Per Requested Need) 

RMHC Greater Delaware is looking to create a staffing pool of PRNs (per requested need) at our Ronald McDonald Family Room® program locations at Nemours Children’s Hospital, Delaware, in Wilmington and Christiana Care’s Women and Children’s Center in Newark, Delaware. The majority of these hours will fall on weekends, either Saturdays or Sundays. These PRN staff members do not have regular shifts. These individuals are trained to work in our program where families and caregivers of pediatric patients receiving treatment gather to rest and regroup.  Family Room Assistants provide frontline service to welcome families and provide administrative support to ensure smooth and efficient operations in the program.

Family Support Coordinator (weekends)

The Family Support Coordinator is responsible for creating a welcoming and supportive environment for Ronald McDonald House Charities of Greater Delaware (RMHCGDE) families and daily operations of the Family Support office. The Family Support Coordinator models RMHCGDE’s values and compassionate hospitality principles, reinforcing a culture of superior service for guest families.  This position reports to the Family Support Manager.

This is a weekend position with the ideal candidate available Saturdays 9:00am-3:00pm (6 hours) and Sundays 9:00am-3:00pm (6 hours) or 3:00pm-9:00pm (6 hours). The full 12-hour shift on Sundays may be requested as needed. Applicants unable to work this schedule will not be considered for this position. Individuals in this position should expect to work no more than 20 hours per week. Occasional weekday hours may be offered, 5:00pm-9:00pm (4 hours).
