In 2021, RMHC Greater Delaware successfully completed the Beau Biden Foundation (BBF) Shield of Protection® assessment as part of our ongoing commitment to providing children with a safe “home-away-from-home.”
The Beau Biden Foundation (BBF) Shield of Protection® is awarded to schools and family-serving organizations who achieve standard or best practice designation in their policies and procedures around youth protection as assessed by BBF. The achievement of the SOP is based upon the assessment of an organization’s child protection policies as reviewed by the Beau Biden Foundation and should not be considered an endorsement of any organization.
RMHC Greater Delaware will submit to annual checkups by the Beau Biden Foundation which are intended to ensure compliance with the SOP’s standards and to acknowledge progressive steps taken towards youth protection.
We are grateful for the guidance and support of the Beau Biden Foundation in helping us continue to operate policies, procedures and programming with the safety of children at the forefront of all we do.
