Troy Nuss, CFRE, is honored to be a part of the Ronald McDonald House team as Director of Development. As a true-blue Delawarean, he has a passion for giving back to the community. He has served as a leader in Delaware’s nonprofit sector for over 20 years, raising over 40 million dollars. Before leaping into the nonprofit sector, Troy started his career following his father into the construction field, and then his life flipped upside down. He landed at one of Delaware’s oldest, most prominent law firms, which put his life’s passion to serve others in motion. His life experiences have helped develop his ability as a strategic thinker who believes in being SMART when setting goals and planning for success. He is a curious optimist who continuously asks, “WHY NOT?”. He is a leader in his community with a heart for educating and developing the best in people.

Troy lives in north Wilmington with his wife, Denise, and golden retriever, Cooper. Troy’s daughters, Miranda and Nelia, recently moved to Austin, TX, where they both work for the Texas Department of Health. Miranda’s husband, Jared, works as a Cinematic Animator on video games.
